Florida cooperates with federal immigration enforcement. We don't apologize for it.
The Challenge
For four years, an open border in the Southwest sent fentanyl, human traffickers, and cartel-linked criminal activity into every state in the country — Florida included. Pasco County deputies have made the arrests. Florida sheriffs and Highway Patrol troopers have intercepted the loads. The federal government finally has its house in order, and Florida intends to keep its own.
What Chris will fight for
Full cooperation with federal immigration enforcement.
Sanctuary policies have no place in Florida. Sheriffs and chiefs across the state need clear statutory authority and the resources to work alongside ICE and CBP.
Enforcement of E-Verify.
Florida law requires employers to verify the legal status of new hires. We will enforce the law on the books.
Disrupting cartel-linked fentanyl networks.
Drug interdiction, intelligence sharing, and prosecution to the full extent of state law.
Standing with our deputies, troopers, and federal partners.
The rule of law is what separates a free state from a chaotic one. Florida will be a free state.
The record behind it
Chris has spent fifteen years running a sheriff's office on a major interstate corridor that traffickers and smugglers know well. PSO has cooperated with federal partners on operations large and small. He understands how the work actually gets done — and he understands what laws need to change to make it easier.
Stand with Chris on the Rule of Law.
