Clean water. Healthy beaches. Smart growth.
The Challenge
The Gulf is not a slogan. It is our economy, our front yard, and the inheritance we owe our kids. Red tide events, water-quality problems in our springs and aquifer, and the pressure of a growing population on aging infrastructure are not problems that can wait another session.
Pasco and Pinellas have grown faster than nearly any region in the country. That growth is a blessing. But growth without infrastructure becomes traffic, flooding, overrun schools, and quality-of-life decline. Smart growth means building the roads, the sewer capacity, and the resilience our communities need — before the next storm and before the next traffic jam.
What Chris will fight for
Continued investment in water quality.
Springs, the aquifer, the Gulf — Florida's water is what Florida is.
Aggressive red tide research and rapid response.
When red tide hits, our beaches and our small businesses pay the price. We need science, we need real-time monitoring, and we need a plan.
Coastal resilience and hurricane recovery.
The Suncoast has been hit hard in recent years. We need state infrastructure that hardens our coast, not just rebuilds after the fact.
Smart growth infrastructure.
Roads, transit corridors, sewer capacity, and school construction must keep pace with new homes — not lag a decade behind them.
Protecting our springs and the aquifer.
Florida cannot afford to drain or pollute the systems our water depends on.
The record behind it
Chris has led the Pasco Sheriff's Office through multiple major hurricanes and through one of the largest population booms in Florida history. He has worked alongside Pasco County Emergency Management, the state, and federal partners on every storm response of the last fifteen years. He knows what coastal resilience requires — because he has lived it.
Stand with Chris for the Suncoast.
